Founded in 2023, Mason Barbecue was born out of a genuine love for backyard barbecue and a desire to share that passion with the local community. As a lifelong resident of Texas, Cody Mason grew up surrounded by the enticing aromas and mouthwatering flavors of slow-cooked meats. Inspired by the traditional techniques and the warm hospitality that define Texas barbecue, he was set out to create an exceptional dining destination in the vibrant city of San Antonio.
At Mason Barbecue, we believe that great barbecue starts with quality ingredients and a commitment to time-honored cooking methods. We take pride in sourcing the finest cuts of meat, carefully selected for their tenderness and flavor. Our pitmaster, Cody Mason dedicates hours to the slow smoking process, using post oak wood to infuse the meats with a distinct smoky essence.
